Mercury
is associated with duality and all facets of communication. It is a planet
of relatedness and acts as a harbinger of harmony.
The
Planet Mercury represents the mind and acts as the illuminating principle
of human life. The mind allows humanity to be a conscious conduit for the
downpouring of energies coming from higher realms. The ability to channel
information from these higher realms creates a faculty of awareness which
separates mankind from the animal kingdom. As such Mercury has come to
be known as the "Messenger of the Gods."
Mercury
takes 88 days to complete its rotation around the sun. It remains stationary
for anywhere between a few hours to a few days. This planet goes into retrograde
(backward motion) three times a year for approximately three weeks each
time.

Mercury
