Sax’s tool is the tea cup, and somehow from bits and pieces of damp leaves clinging to the interior, she is given visions and information that are transformational to the client. The contents serve as a canvas, a focusing tool for her abilities. “My gift comes primarily through visions and the receiving of information through communication with spirits. When I receive a personal vision for myself it is unplanned, the vision just arrives.  It’s like a slate opens up and I am shown an image very briefly, like a flash, then it’s gone. When I read for others there is a constant flow of images, information and words coming in from various sources including the person‘s energy field, the person‘s lower mind and higher mind, superconscious (universal) mind, crossed-over spirit guides,  etc.  It is very free-flowing.”

With such a celebration and openness to the spirit realm, it should come as no surprise that many generations of her family were highly psychic. Her paternal grandmother and her sister were instrumental in recognizing and  helping her understand her gifts from a young age. “My Grandmother’s sister, May, also had many psychic and mediumistic experiences.  May had visions and she spoke of seeing people visit her.  In some cases religious figures would appear.  When May was sick she would talk of relatives long gone visiting her through the sickness.  May told my Grandmother she would feel an Angel around her, she would hear his name and understood that he was there to help her.  At other times she would sense a shadow around her. 

“The most dramatic incident May had, came when she attended a Charismatic meeting at a Roman Catholic church.  Here she began to speak, to tell her story at the meeting.  Shortly into her recital she passed out and another voice came through her mouth.  Witnesses claimed she was speaking in a voice that was not her own and in a language other than English.  After she woke from the experience she claimed it took her several minutes “to come back to herself” as my Grandmother recalled.  May stopped going to the meetings for she was afraid that any Spirit could enter her.
